Supported by the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC), BizAsia Entrepreneurial Exchange Program is a vibrant platform for university students from Singapore and other Asian countries to share their innovative entrepreneurial ideas with peers from different cultural backgrounds.
The first leg of the bilateral exchange is marked by the outgoing program of Singapore delegates to China in mid December 2008. Organized by our partner PKU-SLN (Peking University Student Leadership Network), the one-week program includes seminars, workshops, networking sessions and local company visits. In the past, delegates have visited successful Chinese corporations such as Lenovo, Tencent, and Sohu where they were inspired by the speeches of the CEOs of Baidu and Novartis China. While fostering close friendship with Peking University students, we also have the opportunities to explore China’s business landscape so as to understand her economic potential and challenges, and also learn to appreciate the dynamic culture of China.
The second leg is the incoming program in early February 2009, where delegates from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and India are greeted by a repertoire of interactive conference, seminars and workshops by professionals. Delegates will also get to take part in a highly interactive panel discussion with CEOs of local start-up companies. Following which are visits to successful local enterprises and government agencies, culminating in networking sessions with local leaders and businessmen. In the past, BizAsia has collaborated with successful corporations such as the Far East Organization and Hyflux. During this 7-day program, the delegates are exposed to the unique and vibrant culture of Singapore as well as its exciting business environment.
